Habitat for Humanity is a not for profit organisation that aims to eliminate poor housing in New Zealand and worldwide. Working with partner families, a wide range of community groups, schools, individuals and corporate organisations Habitat builds and renovates homes for families who live in substandard houses. Our current project in Christchurch consists of 20 new homes that are being build right now for 20 Christchurch families in need of a modest but decent place to live. Our TradeMe listings and our Christchurch ReStore (open 9.00-17.00 weekdays and Saturday 9.00-15.00) helps to fund our local housing program.
