What a wonderful find.
This is a Framed Mahogany Writing Box that is Brass Bound.
In the centre of the lid is a brass plaque saying
"David Innis 1881"
Inside has a writing slope covered with velvet.
Underneath has three drawers for pens, ink etc and a bigger compartment.
Unfortunately there is no key.
Measurements are:
Height 17cm
Length 44.5cm
Depth 23.5cm
