A 925 European silver bracelet in the form of a snake with rubies as eyes. The superbly detailed head of the snake emulates the classic Art Deco snake bangles of the 1920s. Very Egyptienne in style, this bracelet is quite incredible.

I am the second owner of this bracelet, it was made by a Parisian silversmith in 1970 as a commission from the original owner.

Unusually, the bracelet is flexible and very snakelike! It does not stretch (will not grab at arm hairs) but each joint of the band flexes and when unlatched it immediately straightens. It is very comfortable to wear.

The catch is shown closed in photo 4; it is easy to use and has a 'push down' release button for security. The silver stamp of 925 and two other unreadable hallmarks are on the tongue of the catch.

Size: 19.5cm long, the coiled snake focal is 30 x 20mm. A medium to large size and suitable for a man or woman to wear - my husband tried the bracelet on and it looks simply intriguing on a man too.
