For sale is a quite unique piece of vintage jewellery in the form of a ladies 18ct gold half hunter pocket watch with beautiful guilloche enamel chapter ring.

It was made by The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company of London who were jewellers to George V.

The hallmarks date the case as London 1924.

The watch measures 35.5mm diameter and is 11mm thick.

At some stage it has been turned into an early wristwatch with the addition of a 9ct gold expanding strap.

This has been a well cared for jewel , the movement looks high grade and clean , it winds fine and keeps pretty good time.

There are 18ct touchmarks on the winder , ring and outer cover.

Total weight of the watch including the movement is 52.8 grams.

I do not know how much 18ct of 9ct gold that works out to be , but it is quite a heavy piece for its size.

This is a stunning watch to wear and is certainly a "one off " piece as well as a nice gold investment.
