A beautiful 15ct gold Victorian locket with a blue enamel star, five old cut diamonds and a pearl. In lovely, original condition with no dents, damage or repairs, just some rubbing to the bright gilding on the back. It is of high quality construction, the hidden hinge allowing it to shut tightly. Inside are two original hand coloured photographs. It measures approximately 45mm ( including the bale ) by 28mm by 7mm and is very heavy at 20.9 grams. On the back of the bale it is stamped “GB 15CT”.
