Absolutely lovely art deco diamond filigree ring! Crafted from 14ct white gold (stamped), this graceful jewel dates to the early 1920s and features three diamonds set in square mounts edged with delicate millegrain. The trilogy of stones represents the past, present, and future, so this would have been an engagement ring. Look at the detail in the mount – flowers climb the sides and shoulders, and a raised, pierced gallery lets in plenty of light to allow those stones to sparkle! At the centre on each side of the mount is a forget-me-not – a code used in antique jewellery to denote remembrance of someone dear.

The stones grade as G/VS in the mount and total a very pleasing quarter carat in weight. The setting makes them look much larger than they are – this piece has a real presence on the hand! The head of the ring measures 19mm east-west by 9.5mm north-south. I love the contrast of the square setting around the stones and the grid-like gallery combined with the trailing, botanical detail – a little bit of art nouveau influence there still.

In beautiful condition, with just some rubbing to the detail on the shoulders as shown in the pictures. Currently a hair under a size M, this genuine art deco-era ring can be easily sized by your jeweller. Don’t let this lacy delight pass you by – it would make a gorgeous engagement ring for the modern-day flapper, but of course is also a lovely “just because” ring! Offered to you at just $1 no reserve!!!

Payment within 3 days, please. Lay-by possible if you ask first. Do check my other listings and add me as a favourite seller, as I’ll gradually be listing more INCREDIBLE antique jewellery from my personal collection amassed over many years of collecting in Europe and America!
