The medal has been on issue by the NZ Defence Force in recognition of qualifying military service in the NZ Armed Forces since 3 September 1945.
The medal has 4 clasps, they are relative to the qualifying service of an individual that includes;
* REGULAR
* C.M.T.
* NATIONAL SERVICE
* TERRITORIAL
The medal listed is clasped REGULAR.
Buyers can opt for fitting of another clasp in place of REGULAR, providing only one clasp is involved.
NOTE: Some people are wanting the medal for mounting with an existing set. Please advise if you want to that, we will send a minimum of 15cm ribbon, and the medal unmounted.
