WW2 medals include Africa Star with 8th ARMY clasp.
United Nations Korea Medal named to 207821 GNR H.R.VEINT
Korea Medal issued but lost.
WW2 photos include Mahdi camp, Cassino, NZ graves-Florence, Senio River, Trieste, tanks, guns and German prisoners ~ snaps mostly of active service (14 photos with notes on reverse). Veint is in 2, possibly 3 photos.
WW2 paybook lost.
Korean War photos on active service (38 snapshots, but no details written on the backs) tanks, planes, US ARMY train, NZers, camp, guns and trucks ~ also one of a group of dead, under a cliff. Also one larger photo of servicemen (Veint is the tallest at back) on the listing scan (pencilled on the back).
Soldiers Paybook No. 376 ~ dated from 29 Aug 50.
Also Paybook on Active Service ~ dated from 1.7.51.
An informant tells me that "Wog" otherwise known as Horrie Veint (pronounced "Vent") served in 163 Battery, Easy Troop, 16th Field Regiment, "K Force".
