Steel Iaito - katate maki.
This is a purpose designed steel iaito, made to my exact specifications based on over 15 years experience, specifically to suit Iaido.

The katate maki is a standard length sword with an average balance / weight feel.

My Iaito have superior balance and a superior level of finish that is necessary for it to be used as a proper Iaito. For example the saya's fit, the tsukamaki's tightness and overall styling is designed for Iaido and is superior to both the average Chinese made sword and the equivalent priced Japanese iaito.

As this sword is designed for Iaido, it is not intended for tameshigiri use, but it will be able to stand up to light cutting use with no problems.
