Description
Bicolored Roundleaf Bat (Hipposideros bicolor) from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Timor-Leste.
Also called the Temminck's Bicolored Roundleaf Bat. The bicoloured leaf-nosed bat can be a vivid orange colour as a result of the bleaching fumes that collect in a cave atmosphere, whereas those individuals that live in well-ventilated caves may be light brown in colour. The bats have pointed ears and a small, pink noseleaf, (a flap of skin on the nose), with a straight membrane between the nostrils (internarial membrane). The noseleaf is used to focus echolocation calls and the ears collect the returning echoes, allowing the bat to build up a picture of its surroundings.
Comes with a chord for attaching to something.
105mm long, 40mm wide.

No listings of Insect Wholesalers include ivory or any animal parts on Appendix I of CITES.
Animals are only sourced from Government sanctioned programs. Climate change and the increase in agricultural land has upset the balance, with some threatened species benefiting, while other less desirable species populations requiring management. This may include introduced animals interbreeding with native species, airport bird strike control, natural death in captivity, population booms or pest species.
Other real butterflies, moths, tarantulas, scorpions, insects and taxidermy items will be listed soon, save me as a favourite and view my other listings, thanks.
