You are bidding on ONE medallion

This auction is for a NASA-issued medallion commemorating the landing of the Mars Rover "Curiosity" in 2012.

The medallions are unique in containing metal from a the engineering of the rover - while it isn't flown metal like a number of my other auctions, these 'engineering commemoratives' are an excellent way to own a part of spaceflight history when no flown metal has been recovered form the craft itself. Make no mistake though - this medallion contains the same metal as was used in the building of the rover.

NASA added a red colouring to this medallion in recognition of the red planet - its a great piece with beautiful depth and finishing.

The medallions are 4.4cm in diameter (excluding the case) and the casting gives great 3-D detail of the images front and rear.

The medallion is protected in a plastic coin case which you can leave on or take off as you prefer - this ensures each medallion is in absolute mint condition when you receive it.

Note that the auction photo shows the front (obverse) and rear (reverse) of the medallions - you are bidding on one medallion

Shipping is $6.00 traced courier to any NZ address (including RD and PO Box addresses) - this covers up to 10 medallions from my auctions and is insured

I will ship unprotected in an envelope for $2 but this is entirely at buyer risk.
