This auction is for a block of gem grade marsden greenstone / pounamu weighing 84-85lb.

A mate offered this to me but I don't have the money and recovering from surgery (no time to carve) so selling it on his behalf. Would love to buy myself but now its on the market. A great opportunity as you just don't see high quality marsden for sale like this anymore.

Brilliant highly translucent bright stone with stunning clear chatoyant streaks through the stone (just as hard and carve up nicely). I got to carve a small amount of this previously and it is super hard stable stone and is a breeze to carve. Nice marsden flower rind (still hard and carvable) usable to within 5-10mm of edge.

No low offers thanks he knows what this is worth and is happy for people to view provided they are willing to pay (i.e. no time wasters please this is a heavy piece to move around).
