Real grass & stone black water-drop
approx measures 7 1/12 cm circumference 4 1/2 cm length
It's better to wear than own one, keep it at it's natural state. Don’t buy seahorses for your home aquarium. It is very difficult to provide seahorses with the fresh, live food and environmental conditions they require to survive.
Taonga of Aotearoa - Manaia
Seahorses have a special place in New Zealand Maori culture. Manaia (spiritual guardians) are a Maori carving motif, often incorporating the seahorse and placed in a ornament & traditionally depicted in bone or green stone (pounamu).
All Seahorses belong to the family Syngnathidae (pronounced sing-nath-i-day) which also includes pipefishes, pipehorses and sea dragons and they belong to the genus Hippocampus, from the Greek words for horse (hippos) and sea monster (campus).
