Vintage leather alpine boots, possibly for nordic skiing.

Size approx 38 European.

Leather inners are attached to each boot and it has a double lacing system. You lace up the inner leathers and then lace up the outer leather boot.

The sole on the right boot is coming off the hobnails as you can see in the picture.

Metal plate nailed to outside of each boot on front upper inside toe.

Rubber sole is has Innsbruck label molded in and what appears to the Towa label in a running script.

The inside leathers are stamped with a red oval stamp - RUMMEL Spezial SkiStiefel

These are heavy, solid old-fashioned boots. My guess is that they would only be of collectors interest.
