This is a black/gold Onyx statue purchased in Mexico. It is Black Oynx. But it is the popular more rare type which flashes gold color in the sunlight. The base is pure black (no gold flash). The statue has a fantastic gold color when it is in the light.

These pieces. being pieces made from the Onyx with gold color were very expensive in Mexico.

The retail price for this piece was US$250(the price is still on the bottom of the base). We negotiated and paid a little less but are still selling for less than what we paid.
