This morning I have for auction the souvenir medal and fold out booklet that was issued to New Zealand school children on the occasion of Queen Elizabeth's Coronation 1953.
This was a gift from the New Zealand Government on the occasion of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth the Second.
The booklet has ten fold out pages telling the story of the coronation on one side and the route the Queen took in her gold carriage on the other side. Printed in London and illustrated by Barbara James.
The booklet has the original owners name in front and some slight marks on the front cover but other wise is complete and in good condition.
The medal is complete with bar, ribbon and clip. The medal marks the occasion of the Royal Visit to New Zealand in 1953-54.
The medal must have been kept in a safe place as colour of the ribbon is a bright blue and the medal and all parts are in very good condition.
