This looks to be an old brass tray that has been used as a wall hanging as well. Perhaps it was a souvenir brought back from the war years, First or Second World War ? Has dings and scrapes from time etc. The style is quite plain and simple and certainly does not look like the modern stuff. Has no markings to indicate its origin or age.
