Bought from new and kept in a smoke free, dry clean home.
Carved by Hepa Gibbons of Rotorua using Kauri that is 30,000 to 50,000 years old.
The carving is of Tutanekai (from the famous love story of Hinemoa and Tutanekai - see http://teaohou.natlib.govt.nz/journals/teaohou/issue/Mao39TeA/c19.html)
