This is a one of a kind hand carved carving which is done on MDF custom wood. I've carved it out with a stanley knife and a mini skew bevel edge chisel (thats a flat edge chisel on a 45 degree angle).

I draw what comes to my head and this is what i ended up with, i have done alot of carvings on custom and MDF wood with just a stanley knife and have passed them on as gifts to friends and family. So i hope some one out there likes what they see and can see the hard work and love that was put into this carving.

Its hard for me to put a meaning to this carving so i just call it MY TU MEKE (awesome) MAORI ART.

I have no experience in anything to do with wood carving and maori patterns so i just draw from my heart and my soul and convert it into my carvings.

The carvings been varnised with oil and then coated with P.V.A clear glue to stop it from fraying and to keep that nice wood varnish look to it.
