Auction is for this Pen & Ink work by Shirley O'Connor. It is entitled "Stafford Street Looking South" & shows the Hydro Grand Hotel & Dominion Hotel on the right. Chisholms building centre left and the wishing well on the left. (Timaru) Shirley has confirmed that this is an original work & was done in the late 1970's. It is one of a series of sketches she did around South Canterbury. They were printed by The Timaru Herald & published in a book called "Sketches of South Canterbury" & was published by Homecrafts, Tekapo, 1980. It measures 29.5cm x 29.5cm(including the frame). It was framed by Still's Corner Fine Art & Framing, 97 Church Street, Timaru.
