I am having great fun making these 3D decoupage, mixed media pictures - they are guaranteed to cheer up a dull corner in any room.

Each piece is textured and finished with a couple of coats of clear glaze for protection.

I paint the sides to match the finished picture. No need to frame, the piece is ready to hang - or can be stood on a shelf if preferred.

Measurements of this piece:
30 x 40 x 1.5 cm

This particular picture is going extremely cheaply as it was my first attempt at this style of working - I will try and describre the layers for you.

The canvas is covered with lace stamped tissue paper and interspersed with music and dictionary words. Then a 'wonky' house is layered over the background. apicket fence was added and the background of the house painted. All had a layer of glaze over it. Next the garden was added, paper and fabric flowers jostle together and hidden in there is a key, and a couple of other bits. There is a run of layered lace along the bottom of the house and garden offset by a row of pearls. A bird sits on the chimney and the heart is surrounded by a frill of lace.
