Golden Bay at the top of NZs South Island is full of beautiful, safe beaches loved by NZers for family holidays. This beach at Pohara has a camping-ground that is a hive of activity over the summer months. What a lovely setting for the old bandstand right on the edge of the beach. It's still used by holiday-makers and gives happy memories to many who have enjoyed functions there when the tide's out.
