ABOUT THE PAINTING:

Title: Passage de l'ile - Annecy

Size: 59.5x50x1.6cm

This painting was part of a serie about France. This one was inspired by the colorful old town, Annecy in the French Alps, where I grew up. This painting represents one of the charming little alleyways and backstreets in Annecy's Old Town.

This painting has been made with acrylic paint. 1.6cm deep sides are painted as a continuation of the front and is signed.

Colours may vary slightly due to camera flash or individual monitor settings. It also may not be to scale, please refer to measurements above for actual size.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

I, Emilie Geant, was born in France in 1980 and followed artistic studies in Lyon for 3 years. I won an artistic prize at Les Tremplins de la Creation 2006 (France) for her paintings, which encouraged me to explore other medias of expression such as travelogues and children’s books.

In 2007, I embarked on a long trip to New Zealand. Over this year, I fell in love with New Zealand, its people and the Kiwi culture. Back in France, I shared my experiences through illustrated French books about New Zealand.

Since 2012, I came back to live in Auckland, New Zealand, a country that inspires me decidedly and embarks me regularly on new artistic projects.
