Alan Stubbs (1898-1976) Watercolour in Need of TLC. Titled "York Country" on label verso. The image is in pretty good condition under glass. Signed bottom left. There appears to be a couple of very faint spots in the sky. The matte needs replacing. The white painted wooden frame has a number of small bumps but is solid. Alan Stubbs was English but worked for some time in NZ & Australia & his work comes to auction occasionally in New Zealand. What could be considered a low price for an Alan Stubbs watercolour is because in my opinion it needs complete re framing. Size: Image 290 mm high x 375 mm wide. Frame 540 mm high x 600 mm wide.
