An old retro or antique original watercolour painting that is signed Meshe Driver 1861 - 1926 ( also known as Meste Driver) as per photos. (except that camera flash can change colours & shades etc and make things look brighter & better than they really are)

I have a number of other watercolours signed Driver, from the same time period on other auctions. at the moment - until they sell of course - Most of the others are dated 1916 -1922, so this one is likely around the same time period)

Anyway, the painting looks good. ( has odd little spots etc but its fine. and the painting, or the artists work looks good. The card surround that goes around the painting needs replacing as it has marks and spots etc. It is glassed and that really needs a good clean, inside & out, which would also help remove some marks. The frame is retro and quite light so is not great. Frame measures approx 450mm x 345mm. What you can actually see of the painting itself measures approx 295mm x 195mm. It has an old sticker that says Wally Ireland picture framer, fine art dealer Emerson St Napier. Do not know if they were the original framers, but to me, these frames look a lot later than early 1900s.

Measurements are given, so please use them to compare to something else you own to give you a better idea of size. There's a number of photos, hopefully enough, to try & give a good indication of state & condition etc, and to help you decide its value & suitability to your use, whatever that may be. So PLEASE, use those photos to help you see & gauge its faults, condition and other things you may want to know.

We allow pickups, but if you do not want to pickup, then we can send for you, on your behalf, at your risk. Couriers & PO etc do not cover antiques, collectables & heaps of other things so is sent entirely at your risk.- so again, sent at your risk if you want us to send for you instead of picking up. Please note the different postage options and choose the right one for your situation.
