A very neat & quite different looking, that the card says is Alex Hay Self Portrait that looks to be an original oil painting on canvas & is probably quite old looking at the back, & is as per photos - (except that camera flash can change colours & shades etc & make things look brighter & better than they really are) Quite a neat painting that looks quite well done. Was hard to photo as I kept getting some camera flash reflection, and in a number of photos the flash lightened it up quite a bit. Real hard to get a good photo of it. To me, it looks a bit darker, and a lot better in real life. It's done on canvas & the frame may be more modern than the painting. I think it's in reasonable condition for its age, has odd little spots, marks & wear etc, but basically fine for what it is. It's quite textured. Is not glassed. I know nothing about the artist, or even if it is Alex Hay, or if Alex Hay actually painted it, (it is NOT signed) & have no idea who Alex Hay is, so only buy or bid if you'll be happy with what you get regardless. (do your own research) The frame is quite ok with little marks & wear & semi distressed. Frame measures approx 590mm x 520mm odd. What you can actually see of the painting itself is approx 440mm x 370mm odd. The size of it at the back is approx !! 450mm odd x 380mm odd. There's a number of photos, hopefully enough, to try & give a good indication of state, condition etc & to help you decide its value & suitability to your use, whatever that may be. So PLEASE, use those photos to help you see & gauge its faults, condition & other things you may want to know. And if not sure, ask a question !!!! We allow pickups, but if you do not want to pickup, then we can send for you, on your behalf, at your risk.
