A lovely painting of red roses, possibly picked by Lily from her own garden, and arranged, with other flowers to beautiful effect in a blue vase; a painting full of glowing colour. Flowers, especially roses, perfectly suited her impressionist style; her flower paintings are well regarded in the NZ Art World. Lily loved roses, and painted them often, in one of her collection of vases. The correct choice of vase is very important to an artist. (My Mother-in-law was a gifted floral artist, so there was an awareness of vases in our family.)

Fresh and artistic this painting is completely unfaded, the colours are as fresh as the day she painted them. (All of the Lily Lewis paintings offered on this site are unfaded, having been kept light free).

It is framed in a 22mm top-quality gold gilt frame, with an off-white mount, and glazed.
