' I have lived most of my life in and around Christchurch - the city I love. I have worked, studied, and now teach Photography there.
In 2003 I created a photomontage of the central city area,an artwork which has now also tragically become a historic record of 'the way it was'.
This artwork creates an impression of the heart of Christchurch and the activites which gave it life - the chess players in Cathedral Square, the Arts centre Market, the punting on the river - the feeling of how it once was before the earthquakes shattered its very core.
