This is an original print removed from a 1st edition book by Thelwell published in 1964 by Methuen & Co Ltd.
From the chapter "Food and exercise"

A short bio of the Artist
Norman Thelwell (1923-2004) was born in Birkenhead, England in 1923.
He signed up for the East
Yorkshire Regiment in 1941 and became art editor of an army magazine in India.
In 1944 he took evening art classes at Nottingham School of Art where he met his future wife Rhona.
After Nottingham he took a degree at Liverpool College of Art and in 1950 began work at Wolverhampton College of Art teaching design and illustration, he gave this role up to become a freelance cartoonist in 1956.
He became a contributor to the satirical magazine Punch and began a 25 year relationship in 1952 which yielded over 1500 cartoons!
Thelwell created many comical cartoons that have been enjoyed for decades.
