The Lonely Dog tale is inspired by Ivan Clarke’s family pet daschund “Arthur Snout” which follows his exploits in Port Alveridge. Lonely Dog is a moving story of an orphan hound growing up in the whimsical world of Alveridgea in which felines and hounds co-habit side by side in a segregated society. “Anyone can go there and your ticket is your imagination.” As the pup grows up so does the story building into a complex, sophisticated world with twists, metaphors and social parallels each print depicting a different tale of Arthur or his friends who live in the Port Ivan has teamed up with Richard Taylor from Weta Workshop who has created Bronze sculptures in the Lonely Dog work which has also lead to US film company Warner Bros securing the rights to produce the movie “The Legend of the Lonely Dog” initial production ideas are well underway with some big Hollywood names tipped to do the voiceovers of the Lonely Dog characters
