Funky Feet & Fiddly Fingers DIY life-size baby hand and foot casting is a beautiful way to capture the size and detail of your little ones hands and feet to cherish for a lifetime. A baby cast adds a dramatic third dimension of depth, which in years to come, when they're all grown up (and borrowing your car keys!), you can view the former size of their hands and feet, hold them in your hands again, and explore the curves and every little crease and wrinkle!



How does it work?

A life cast is created my taking a mould of babys hand or foot. The amazing colour change moulding powder sets to a firm rubber within 2-3 minutes, and changes colour from violet to white to tell you when it's ready. As the mould is slightly flexible, wiggling fingers and toes will not affect the outcome of the cast (no baby will stay completely still!). Bubs hand/foot then slips out, leaving a clean detailed mould. Plaster is then poured and left to set. Once set, the mould is simply broken and peeled away from the plaster, revealing an incredibly detailed cast of babys hand or foot. Such fine detail it picks up every precious detail, right down to the tiny nails, fine wrinkles and skin texture, and even finger prints!
