This Resource Pack is for students who are independent readers (Year 3/4 up to Intermediate level) and contains a set of 60 ideas, on individual A5 cards, that students can complete, as independent follow up activities, after reading a Fiction text.

The Response cards, which will be emailed to you, as a .pdf file, are focused on a range of activities that include Word Knowledge, Character Study, Writing Activities, Questions, Opinions and Design and Draw activities.

Example Cards
- Rewrite a scene and change the gender (male/female) of the characters to show how they might act differently.
- Make a list of words and phrases used to create atmosphere and suspense.
- Choose a descriptive passage
and make a list of examples of imagery - similes, metaphors, or alliteration.
- Write some advice to the character
having problems in the story.
- Draw an outline shape of a character.Record all the different roles they play in the story.
