The pack includes the Literacy Progressions for Writing, including Surface and Deeper features for students working through Levels 1-4, with Level 1 sub-divided into three sections and Level 2 into two parts, due to the number of progressions introduced at the earlier levels.

The Resource contains over 140 different W.A.L.T's !

The pack also includes 4 A4 landscape pages which each page featuring two children and a blank sign. Above their heads is a speech bubble which say: We are learning to

The idea is that each Writing Group has a sign. The laminated colour coded Leaning Intentions for each group are attached to the Magnetic Board under the Level label. The one that is current is attached to the sign the children are holding on the WALT page. The rest are lined up below.

Over time, a star is placed beside the Learning Intentions that have been achieved and the other cards are listed under the label ‘Next steps’.

This way students can see what they have achieved, and where they need to move on to next.

Kids, with this visual prompt, can easily discuss their progress in Written Language with family members on a regular basis and at student- led Learning Conferences.
