About the Author

Emma Quay (pronounced "kway") grew up in a village near Cambridge, England and has wanted to illustrate children's books for as long as she can remember. She graduated with an Honours degree in Graphic Design, specialising in illustration and printmaking. Emma's illustrative work has been collected around the world and is included in the permanent collection of prints and drawings at The Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

Since moving to Sydney in 1993, Emma has illustrated a number of picture books and early readers including the CBC shortlisted Bear and Chook written by Lisa Shanahan, CBC Notable Books Champions by Jonathan Harlen and Thank You For my Yukky Present by Meredith Hooper, Good Night, Me by Andrew Daddo and her own picture book story Reggie and Lu (and the same to you!). Emma has illustrated two books from the Aussie Nibbles series: Topsy and Turvy and Snowman Magic, both by author Justin D'Ath.
