A 56 page b&w magazine published by Cheerio Magazine, Woodville, H.B. & dated 16th September, 1935.

"The New Zealand Girls' & Boys' Own Magazine"

Contents include articles, a NZ serial by "well-known NZ writer" & short stories [several attributed to "Cheerio Chum"], a Robin Hood comic page, & many stories & essays by schoolchildren. Also a couple of pages of jokes contributed by children, many of which would not pass the PC police today!

Little seems to be known about this publication - I have never seen another copy but do know that a copy of the first issue is held by the Auckland Museum.

Condition; small tears at staples [which are starting to rust], but cvr still attached. Cnrs have small "dog-ears"

I will combine auctions to save on postage where possible.
