Edited and Introduced by Paul Schlueter
Flamingo, 1994
(1st Flamingo Edition, first published in 1974)
Paperback, 235pp

It is hard to categorise this book, as it is a mix of Doris Lessings stories, essays, reviews and interviews, combining fiction with a diversity of non-fiction topics. Most of the topics are non-fiction.

Included in this volume are tributes to Kurt Vonnegut and Isak Dinesen, essays on Malcolm X and Sufism, discussions on the responsibilities of artists, reflections on her political exile form Southern Rhodesia and a mamoir of her relationship with her mother. Much of the material relates to her own life.

The book is in VG condition other than some discolouration of the spine and spine edges from the sun - this leaves those areas a bright blue which is actually not unattractive! No markings or inscriptions, some tanning to pages and especially block edges.
