Crump began his working life as a professional hunter, culling
deer and pigs in some of New Zealand’s most rugged country.
After the runaway success of his first book, he pursued many
diverse activities, including goldmining, radio talkback, white.
baiting, television presenting, crocodile shooting and acting.
But, when classifying his occupation, Crump always
insisted that he was a Kiwi bushman.
