Noel Ginn and James K. Baxter corresponded, discussing literature and criticising each other's poetry, while Ginn was imprisoned as a conscientious objector in New Zealand from 1942 to 1946. After the war Ginn became a horticulturist and largely ceased writing. He later moved to Australia and in retirement lived in India. At age 80 Ginn began writing again. His poems reveal the child on the edge of an adult world, the pacifist at odds with a world at war, the New Zealander encountering Indian culture, the octogenerian reflecting on life and death.
Second-hand book in Ex condition. Light scuffing to cover. Very clean internally
