The architectural drawings, photographs and texts assembled in this booklet all have a bearing on Senanque Abbey, a fine example of architecture carried out by Cisterian monks and also of construction in the Romaneque period in general.

The drawings by Architect H Wysocki are intended above all to be illustrative to bring out the different methods used to archieve the most suitable edifice for prayer and community life with the greatest sobriety and economy.
