ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Jonathan Harris is Professor of Art History at the University of Liverpool. He is author of Writing Back to Modern Art: After Greenberg, Fried, and Clark and The New Art History: A Critical Introduction. Jonathan Harris also wrote introductions to the four volumes of Arnold Hauser’s 1951 classic The Social History of Art, republished in 1999. Large format paperback 2002.
