An extremely comprehensive study of the works of artist Maxfield Parrish - in his day he was as famous as any old master and prints of his work hung in almost every home in America.

Perhaps it was due to the immense popularity of his work that his name virtually disappeared from the public domain, and despite being revived by a couple of waves of popularity in the recent past hes still relatively unknown.

Anyways, I like his work and Im sure Im not the only one! I was rapt to find this book in a second hand store but recently I moved and Ive realised that I havent looked at this book in quite a while so off to a new home it goes - making room for something else no doubt!

This is a circa 1975 print of Maxfield Parrish by Coy Ludwig, a 224 page hardcover with 100 black and white illustrations and 64 full colour plates. A fairly large book, it is approx 24cm by 31cm. The dust jacket is worn and faded, the cover also has evidence of fading around the edges, but the pages themselves are in good order. On the inside cover in pencil is the price that I paid - $45 - Ive never come across another version of this book (and I was looking for more information) so thats the price Ill list it for.
