Description
Jason Schneider (1978): a compilation of the articles he wrote for Modern Photography through the 1970’s, covering the esoterica and the quirky, the super-rare and the (then) readily available; cameras of the time. He’s opinionated, irreverent, unapologetically biased in some directions (he loves 120 folders, box cameras, American 35mm rangefinders) and proposed using the cameras that cross his desk in ways that modern digital photog’s would find incomprehensible.(cutting down 4x5 sheet film for a quarter plate folder? Huh?) This is more for a collector’s reading enjoyment than research, although it’s all well –indexed and he’s faultless in his details. It’s just that most of this technical information is available on the internet far more extensively than in any book form! This is A4 in size, 178 pages, perfect bound illustrated with monochrome photographs, indexed: 60 different chapters sometimes one per camera (Compass) , sometimes one per type ( 35mm stereo cameras) or manufacturer (Plaubel)...This copy is in what I would describe as A- condition, with no tears or stains anywhere, all pages tight and spine uncracked, but with minor scuffing to the cover.
