About the Author: Marilyn Waring is an associate professor in the school of social and cultural studies on the Albany campus of Massey University and is the coordinator of the postgraduate program in public policy. She has served in the New Zealand Parliament and has been an angora goat farmer. She is the author of Counting for Nothing, Three Masquerades, and Women, Politics and Power.
