All Funds from this auction will go to Neonatal Trust NZ as it is a charity close to the Sigmund Family

Signed by Both Ben Sigmund ( who played 18 for the Wellington Phoenix) and Andrew Durante ( who plays number 22 for the Wellington Phoenix)

It’s a story about sport, life and never giving up.
Ben Sigmund was born in Blenheim, raised in Canterbury and played for the full All Whites side when he was still a teenager. An illustrious football career beckoned – and was eventually achieved – but it was anything but smooth sailing.
At one stage, football wasn’t something he even liked, let alone loved. It drove him away, tempted him back and then ignited a passion which saw him pursue his dream to become a professional at the Wellington Phoenix, where he went on to become the beating heart of New Zealand’s only professional football club.
“Fully Committed” is the fascinating story of an ordinary kiwi bloke who overcame obstacles and setbacks both on and off the pitch to become an icon in New Zealand football.

Ben Sigmund, All Whites and Phoenix defender, husband, father, mate and kiwi bloke.
In this book you’ll read about Ben’s life and learn the answers to these questions…
How did he find out he’d been selected in the All Whites for the first time?
Why did he turn his back on football in favour of playing club rugby?
How did he rediscover his passion for the game and go on to be one of the most capped players in the history of the Wellington Phoenix?
How did he and wife Deanna cope when their son Cameron was born 16 weeks premature?
How did the 2010 World Cup break his heart?
Why did he commit what was described as “the worst act ever by a player in an All Whites shirt”?
What drove him to excellence on the football field?
Who and what has shaped the man universally known as ‘Siggy’?
Told through the eyes of the man himself, with input from team-mates, opponents, coaches and family, “Fully Committed” isn’t your normal sporting autobiography. It’s a story about sport, life and never giving up. Please click here to ask a question
