Conservation
This book is derived from a series of talks given by Dr Falla on NZBC radio. Its intention is to encourage people to open their senses to the creatures around them, by the sea, lake and river, in the paddocks, the native bush, the new forests. It is a gentle introduction to natural history by a man whose whole life has been devoted to its study; a man who can make any walk, almost anywhere, into a source of new pleasure and new knowledge.
Just as the text is intended as an interesting arousing introduction to the whole fascinating world of nature, so the illustrations range loosely over the animals, the plants, and the places one can see while being a holiday naturalist.
It will be enjoyed by adults and children. You don't even have to be energetic - sit quietly and wait - listen and look - life will go on around you - for your peaceful pleasure.
Be a holiday naturalist.
Free postage in NZ.
A truly wonderful little book.
Fully illustrated in colour and B&W.
