Patterns of the Past contains over sixty drawings of New Zealand's earlier buildings, some famous, others not so well known. These expressive pencil studies are the work of Owen Lee, a talented and versatile artist who has a strong admiration for the traditional construction methods and distinctive decorative features yesterday's builders employed. Over the past few years he has recorded details of architecture both public and domestic, rural and urban, from the main provinces of both islands. His subjects range from tiny Cob cottages and tiny country churches to ornate city mansions and handsome cathederals.

Published by Whitcoulls. 1977. Christchurch. 95pp Landscape format hardcover. Book has only minor shelf wear and the jacket does have a tape repair to a closed tear along the spine.

Payment within five working days please, unless by prior agreement.
