Prehistory of the Southern Cook islands

This auction is for a copy of Prehistory of the Southern Cook Islands.
This book is Canterbury Museum Bulletin No.6 and was published by order of the Museum Trust Board in 1974.
The Principal author was Roger Duff and the book was edited by Michael M Trotter with contributions by Michael Trotter, RH Parker, Robin Duff and Owen Wilkes.
This book comprises reports of the Canterbury Museum investigation in 1962-63 and 1964, the investigations of the Royal Society of New Zealand in 1969 and a synthesis of the typological succession of Cook Island adzes. The Islands of Rarotonga, Aitutaki and Mangaia were visited during these investigations.
This book has 155 pages, many line diagrams of adzes and a lot of black and white photos of archaeological sites.
It is a soft covered book, 280mm high and 220mm wide and it is in very good condition.
