The hardback book, which has illustrated boards, is in excellent condition, and I don't use 'excellent' to describe condition very often. The only tiny flaw I can find is a very small dent at the bottom right of the front cover. Please see the photographs for a close-up.

The dustjacket has some very light wear and tear, but it's intact and complete - I would describe it as in very good conditions. There are close-ups among the photographs.

The book's contents are simply spectacular. It contains more than 400 beautifully printed black and white photographs. Most of the photographs come from the archives of the Daily Mirror newspaper. A great many of them had not been published prior to their inclusion in this book. The quality of the slightly glossy paper that has been used is very good indeed.

The book takes a chronological approach, and has a lot of informative text explaining the band's evolution. You also get a good feel for the mechanics of the business at the time, as well as the social context.
