The winner of the Otago Centennial Prize Novel this book was printed in 1949 and is thought to be a first edition.

It tells the tale of a Scots family who emigrated to Otago and the hardships they experienced in Scotland and their new life in Otago. Yes it is a novel but it could also be an actual tale of new settlers.

The dust jacket has been repaired and is plastic coated and as an added bonus it has been signed by a settler from the Nevis Valley - S E Jolly. Please click here to ask a question
