From cotton to cars is an expansion of the pictorial booklet created for the staff reunion held in Nelson during February 2009. Using a combination of those and previously unseen images the book illustrates and remembers the everyday life of the Nelson Motor Vehicle Assembly Plant and firmly establishes the plant's place in both New Zealand's industrial, and Nelson's local history.
